2. The Cold-scientific view of Satan, Witches, etc.- left a vacuum, & Satan is entering fast
3. Ezekiel spoke words with double meaning in Ezek 28- law of double reference -There was a King of Tyre- but another personage is involved in these references- understand- 

I.-THE DOCTRINE OF SATAN

Science is the study of the material- Theology is study of spiritual- Satan is Spirit Being

A.- THE EXISTENCE OF SATAN HAS BEEN REJECTED BY MANY BUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF REFERENCES - BIBLE

1. Job 1:6-12; 2:- a former son of God- walking in God's court- being spiteful against Man!
2. He is described here in Ezek 28, and Isa 14:12-14 & Jesus saw him fall from Heaven
3. He is wickedness personified- The Devil- the Evil one, the Tempter, Satan, Lucifer,- many others

B.-SATAN HAS A HIGH POSITION EVEN TODAY, AND IS POWERFUL IN THIS PRESENT WORLD

1. He is called the God of this World- 2 Cor 4:4, or Prince-of this world- John 12:31, still-now
2. He is the sovereign of the forces against God- II Cor 11:14- as an angel of light
3. His rule is not in HELL BUT ON EARTH TODAY! I Pet 5:8- a Roaring lion-seeking to devour

C.-THE BELIEVER IS CALLED UPON TO RESIST SATAN, AND TO SNATCH PEOPLE FROM HIS POWER

1. We have armor- and must fight his power- & it is through men that he works- Eph 6:11-12
2. We are not to "Rail" against him Jud 9, but resist him- Jas 4:7- You will lose argument- but not the fight.
3. He is "the accuser of the Brethren" Rev. 13:10-11, and we can overcome him- note how.

But Ezekiel saw him as a man- the ruler of Tyre- & God gave him a message.-

II.- EZEKIEL'S PERSONIFICATION OF SATAN Ezek 28:1-19

Satan works through men- and as a Christian personifies Christ- some men live out Satan

A.- THE KING EZEKIEL WROTE OF WAS REAL, HIS NAME WAS ITHOBALUS II, AND HE LIVED IN STYLE & POWER

1. Josephus describes him as a great monarch- whose wealth & power led to pride described-2,3
2. He thought he was wiser than Daniel- but was he? do you notice the sarcasm--therefore v.6
3. Babylon would come and judge- and destroy- v.8-10, and she did, this King got busted

B.- BUT THERE IS A SUPERNATURAL PICTURE BEHIND THE KING OF TYRE, AND IT IS SATAN, NOTE V.12-

1. There are 21 references in this passage that have double reference- of Satan-& this man
2. The beauty, power, wealth, pride, evil, the fire in his bosom that would destroy him-
3. His royal majesty promises all his glitter if you will obey him- but note his destruction!

C.- GOD CAST DOWN THE POWER OF DARKNESS, AND SATAN FELL FROM HEAVEN WHEN HE OPENLY FOUGHT GOD!

1. At the beginning of "our time" he was cast from heaven- Isa 14:12-14, Luke 10:18-
2. He will be cast down in middle of Daniel's 70th week- Rev. 12:7-12, & world is his oyster
3. He will be chained during millennium, then cast into lake of fire-Rev. 20:3,& 10

But the King of Tyre-was cast down-, & his city as Ezek 26:14-by Alexander-332 BC- rocks

III. BUT SATAN IS STILL ALIVE TODAY - The Worship of BAAL

He is looking for those he can subdue- and you cannot bury your head in the sand- see John Birch Society

3. Make up your mind to put on the whole armor of God- or you will not be able to stand-

Have you totally surrendered to the Lord? - His satanic majesty can't touch you.
