IT IS CONFUSING -- MATT. 7:1 WE ARE TOLD NOT TO JUDGE; AND I Cor. 2:15 TELLS US TO JUDGE ALL THINGS

1. We are not to judge (condemn) persons; or to try to judge motives of the human heart -others
2. But we are to judge actions; to rebuke or exhort others; to inspect fruit-or withdraw -
3. And we are to test, try, judge the Spirits, to see if they be of God, and this also includes judging our own motives, the spirit that leads us

I.- THE DANGER - "BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT" I John 4:1a

There are false prophets, evil spirits in human hearts, and demons

A.- THERE ARE MANY FALSE PROPHETS IN THE WORLD TODAY, AND THERE HAS BEEN THROUGHOUT HISTORY -1c

1. Scriptures are full of warnings, Where Satan cannot destroy- he distorts -False Prophets
2. There is Apostacy- The deliberate denial of basic Christian Truth-Jehovah's Witnesses-Deity of Christ
3. There is Heresy - The deliberate distortion of Christian Truth- LDS- "No Man Knows My History"

B. THERE ARE MANY FALSE SPIRITS LEADING HUMAN HEARTS* MOVING IN THROUGH THE EMOTIONS* MOTIVES

1. You cannot judge other's hearts-and you have to use great care judging your own- I Cor 4:1-3-5
2. But motives must be judged - Your own Motives- Watch for attitudes "7 Deadly Sins"-Pride, Envy, Jealousy, Anger, Intolerance, Dejection, Avarice (Greed), Lust, Gluttony, Anxiety, Worry, Sloth
3. You might rush to some one's defense--& over react because of false spirit in you!

2.- THERE ARE MANY FALSE SPIRITS DEMONS, SPIRITS OF SATANIC ORIGIN THAT WORK IN HEARTS

1. Satan transforms his ministers into angels of light- II Cor 11:13-15 -Possession- Influence
2. They come into your heart disguised- cleaver, tricky- but deadly!
3. They come out of your month-Unveiled- Matt 15:18-20, after out - they haunt you.

Ours is a world that is greatly influenced by corrupt spirits -Watch out

II. THE DIVINE TEST - "TRY THE SPIRITS" I John 4:1b

A.- Every attitude of your own heart needs to be tested by the Word of God -Mary's 7 devils

1.-PRIDE our hurt feelings- the opposite of Humility-, Be yourself with the Lord-
2.-ENVY & JEALOUSY- Fighting against Christian love-we need love that rejoices in others
3.-ANGER, INTOLERANCE -Fighting against patience and forgiveness-healing, forgiving,
4.-DEJECTION, DOUBT Fighting a vital concern-we need love that lifts-gives faith, strength -
5.-GREED, 'AVRICE -Fighting against creative joy- need love that shares, rejoices in others
6.-LUST, ADULTERY -Fighting against natural-love-need love that gives-, Godly love
7.-GLUTTONY,-Fighting a natural appetite, We need to love the Temple of God-care for your body !
8.-ANXIETY, WORRY,-Fighting a productive peace,-We need Godliness with Contentment-serenity
9.-SLOTH, -Fighting a spirit of work, & willingness to be spent- We need work while it is day-

Every Attitude of heart needs to be brought to the Savior & If unclean-he will cast it out.

B.- THE FALSE TEACHERS, AND EVIL SPIRITS CAN BE JUDGED BY THEIR TEACHING REGARDING JESUS CHRIST 2v.

1. John was plagued with Intellectuals who knew so much-but denied deity of Jesus, -Gnostics-
2. They had a will worship- humility & proud of it; an order of Angels-worshipped-Col.2:18
3. John's were not immoral as Peter wrote of, but John's antagonists taught human perfectibility

III.- THE VICTORY "CONFESSING CHRIST" I John 4:2 b

This is the test and the victory - YOU, IN YOUR SPIRIT - CONFESS CHRIST -daily, and alway

A.- WE NEED TO DIE TO SELF, AND TO LIVE FOR CHRIST, Gal 2:20 -I am crucified with Christ-I live-

1. Almost every false spirit that leads to sin feeds on some selfishness-love for self-
2. We need to die to self- and come alive with Christ - When you Confess Christ-He lives
3. The Assurance of Victory- power to overcome the world-self-& Devil- is in Christ-

B.- WE NEED TO KNOW OURSELVES THROUGH THE EYES OF JESUS, AND TRUST HIM, NOT OUR OWN EMOTIONS

1. Paul said refused to judge himself-I Cor 4:3 but commit it to Christ
2. Come to Christ often, and judge yourself according to His Word- that you be not judged later
3. Every time you come to Christ-in personal devotion - His Presence judges you-

C.- WE NEED TO KNOW CHRIST, COUNTING HIM EVERYTHING, OURSELVES BUT LOSS - Phil 3:8b,-14

1. When Gideon, Jacob,- & Others saw Christ- they felt undone; Peter felt wicked- unclean
2. But to stay in the presence of Christ- cleanses - lifts- empowers right spirit- David, Isaiah
3. So like Paul- press forward in Christ Jesus- & have victory

YOUR SOUL HANGS IN THE BALANCE, DECISIONS IN AUTO DRIVING MEANS LIFE OR DEATH - S0 IN THIS TOO

1. Decide now if you want the new self life and Choose Christ-; Or do you want your Old Self Life?
2. Try every spirit-in your heart- and facing you- Is is of Christ of of Satan?
3. Live life to the fullest for Christ-
