THERE ARE BIBLE TRUTHS THAT ARE STRANGER THAN SCIENCE FICTION, & FICTION EASIER BELIEVED -

1. Some Mysteries are so far beyond us, the natural mind cannot receive them- blinded by force.
2. Earth has been invaded by powerful beings from beyond our universe, outside our world-
3. A visit from Space is one thing, but even more serious- humans are being taken over, and changed, and the plan is to destroy all opposition to this foreign power-

I.- WHAT IS THE EARTH MAN ?

We bear the image of the earthy, and what we call man is of the earth, earthy I Cor 15:47,8

A.- EARTH MEN ARE BY NATURE CREATURES OF SIN, AND NOTHING CAN CHANGE THAT SINFUL NATURE I John 1:8-10

1. There is a bloodline that reaches back to the first creatures on earth-savages by nature!
2. Some would try to hide their ancestry, claim civilization, that they are not sinners by birth
3. But The heart of the matter will come out, and men love darkness because their deeds are evil.

B.- EARTHMEN HAVE A GREAT LOVE FOR THIS WORLD, AND WORLDLINESS EVEN THOUGH IT KILLS THEM 2:15-17

1. History is full of warnings as to the dangers of worldliness- World, Flesh, Devil leads
2. Throughout history men have been guided by Lust of flesh, eye, & pride of life! -& love darkness
3. Our own civilization shows how much men spend on temptation, lust, drunkenness, & killing fun

C.- GREAT INFLUENCE IS EXERTED BY HUMANITY TO SNATCH BACK ANY WHO WOULD DESERT THE CAUSE OF WORLD

1. Early efforts were made to start different cell groups- but I John 2:18,19 -some went back
2. Some are named- II Tim 4:10- Demas loved this present world, went back to it; many do today !
3. The influence of Earth-men is so great that many today are trying to return to the untouched animal type of existence of the early cavemen- turn back time to Man's noble savageness -

II.- BUT EARTH HAS BEEN INVADED

I tell you the truth & you won't believe me,- so let me tell you fiction & see! slight changes!

A.- THE INFLUENCE OF INVADERS FROM SPACE ARE FAIRLY WELL DOCUMENTED IN HISORY AND IN BIBLE-

1. Russian scientists have decided that ancient Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed by death rays from space
2. King Nebuchadnezzar argued with a "Watcher" -and his mind was scrambled till he obeyed-Dan.4
3. Great activity around 4 BC- Matt & Luke Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Shepherds, Magi & a star

B.- CERTAIN PEOPLE IN HISTORY HAVE BORN THE MARK OF THIS WORLD, AND HAVE BEEN TAKEN OVER!

1. Mary Magdalena- Mark 16:9 -a harlot-7 devils-Star! changed-virtuous, loving, kind, at the tomb!
2. A real "native style" in Gadara - Mark 5: 5,15,18,19 rejected his home, friends, made to stay.
3. A leader of the Jews-Pharisee Saul- Acts 8:3, 9:3 Stricken to ground, blinded, taken over

C. THERE ARE CERTAIN PEOPLE TODAY THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN OVER BY A STRANGE POWER-

1. A drunk staggered in Wed. PM; Everything great-job, family, jail; changed, made upright, empowered
2. A couple-from a slums on East Garfield-Former Narc.-change started-1962-difference unbelievable
3. A High School boy-snaggle toothed, despair, ornery- in 3 years was a Pastor-no way to measure change.

I see evidence here tonight, people of all ages under influence that is not of this world!

III. HOW DOES THIS INVASION HAPPEN?

The Bible unveils just how this foreign, non-human power takes over a human body-

A. THE SPERM CELLS OF THE CREATURE ARE PLANTED BY A SEED INTO THE HUMAN HEART, I John 3:9

1. Some are successful in throwing off the seed -Cf. Parable of Sower & Seed BUT SOME GROW, REPRODUCE
2. Some are so taken over by the new seed- that a new creature is born within them- I Pet 1:23
3. Some then have a great battle for control, Rom 7:15:24 - and I see people in this great battle

B.- THIS NEW CREATION, NEWBORN CREATURE, STRIVES TO TAKE OVER COMPLETE CONTROL, Cannot Sin-v.9

1. Paul beat his body to keep it under subjection I Cor 9:27- pleas - Rom 12:1,2 -you willing?
2. The conquest was so great with Paul- Phil 1:21, to live-Christ; 2:15 -have mind of Christ
3. The goal is a complete change I Thess 5:23 -body, soul, spirit all things made new!

C.- THIS NEW CHREATURE IS GOD'S PLAN FOR EVERY ONE OF YOU, LIKE CATERPILLAR AND BUTTERFLY* GLORIOUS

1. The new creature is really the adult YOU! -the real YOU! -the glorified YOU! free from earth
2. The final change will be made when we see Him- become like Him- I John 3:2, change today! joy!
3. The old nature is sick, dying, lost! Only way to survive is to be born from above, changed!

The smart caterpillar climbs high to give the butterfly a chance - it is worth it all then
