WE ARE LIVING IN AN AGE DURING WHICH THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE PAST ARE UNDER ATTACK

It is no accident that every human value is being systematically destroyed- chaos coming
Youth blames the hypocrisy of the adults, the Adults blame Washington, but Satan keeps on
The attack continues from without and within, unless we find some solid walls to hide behind for a last ditch defense, we shall be destroyed. Is there a fort to flee to?-II Tim 2:19

THE FOUNDATIONS OF GOD ARE UNDER ATTACK

Like a wave of savages, the forces against God have overrun Theology, Morals, & Education

PAUL WARNED TIMOTHY - "SHUN PROFANE AND VAIN BABBLINGS LIKE A CANKER" II Tim 2:16-17a

The common trick of debate is to lead your opponent to an illogical extreme - so Satan does
We Christians are trying to be experts in answering every minute question- & we get trapped
Foolish and unlearned questions, fables, genealogies, strivings about the law, Hyper this &That

PAUL EVEN NAMED THE TROUBLEMAKERS - "OF WHOM IS HYMENAEUS AND PHILETUS" II Tim 2:17b 18a

They said that the resurrection had already passed- Spiritualizing on great truths of God
In I Tim 1:20 Paul committed Hymenaeus to Satan, but Satan didn't want him either - still around
Paul named these pointedly, we are too much afraid of offending people, So let them fall

PAUL WARNED THAT THESE WERE ABLE TO "OVER THROW THE FAITH OF SOME" II Tim 18b

Some are too sensitive to stand the arguments & when the fuss starts they turn from Christ
Some are not aware of the tricks of debate, and swallow the wrong message, believe a lie
I have always felt that the sign of a real Christian is that he endures to the end-

But remember, when the foundations are attacked, it is the people that are destroyed

FOR THE FOUNDATIONS OF GOD STANDETH SURE V.19a

Though Satan will try every onslaught possible, not one stone of this foundation fails

THE PSALMIST WORRIED IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTOUS DO? Ps 11:3

The Psalmist was worried - as he looked around himself -But when he looked to God
Read the Psalm - The Lord loves the Righteous
In 1909-12 Fundamentalists drew up foundation maps

BUT PAUL STOOD CONFIDENT, "NEVERTHELESS THE FOUNDATIONS OF GOD STANDETH SURE" II Tim 2:19b

1. The Inspiration and Authority of the Bible- inerrant in its words, II Tim 3:16
2. The Trinity of God- A mystery, yet unfolded even as it is declared in the Scriptures, Matt 28:19
3. The Deity and Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, Matt 1:23
4. The Creation and Fall of Man, Gen 1, 2, 3
5. The Substitutionary Atonement, Rom 5:1-11
6. The Bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ, I Cor 15
7. The Regeneration of Believers, Jn 3
8. The Personal and imminent return of Jesus, Acts 1:11, I Thess 4:14
9. The resurrection and final judgement of all men, Jn 5:29 Rev 20

HOW WELL DO WE STAND, THE LORD KNOWETH - II Tim 2:19b

God's eternal plan will not be shaken, but are you a part of His eternal plan?

HOW CAN WE STAND "TAKE THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD THAT YE MAY BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND" Eph 6:13

Read vs. 10-17 - Make sure you have the helmet of Salvation!

HOW CAN WE HOLD POSITION? "HE THAT DOETH THESE THINGS SHALL NEVER BE MOVED" Psa 15:5

Read Psa. 15:1-5 - 11 precepts that build for stability in human life

HOW CAN WE PROSPER?  IF THESE BE IN YOU YE SHALL NEITHER BE BARREN OR UNFRUITFUL" - II Pet 1:8

Read vs. 4-10 - 
Put some time into working on these virtues, and your life will not be easily pushed over by Satan
In these days of trickery & turmoil - You had better be careful - Close to God! -

GOD'S FOUNDATIONS WILL STAND THROUGHOUT ALL ETERNITY, WHAT YOU DO IS UP TO YOU!

Open your heart to Jesus and be Born again, or you are entirely on shifting sand
After you are saved, saturate your life with the Word of God, it is eternal
With this you will be able to stand straight and tall in the midst of tossing world
