THE GREATEST DENUNCIATION OF LIBERTINES & APOSTATES IS FOUND IN JUDE, BUT ALSO TENDER MESSAGE OF LOVE

1. The Salutation differs slightly- humility of Christ's brother calls self Brother of James
2. He writes to contend for the faith, but he writes to those who are God's own chosen people
3. His greeting and prayer stimulates a trilogy of graces, the property of every believer.

Throughout the book he speaks of many Trilogies- count them, study them.-

I.- "SANCTIFIED", GOD'S ACTION FOR THE SOUL!

Sanctification means separation from the secular, and being set aside especially for God's use

A.- SANCTIFICATION OF A PERSON HAS THREE DISTINCTS PARTS, AND A THREE FOLD MEANING

1. In Position- Believers are set apart for God- Heb 10:9,10 - "Sanctified once for all"-
2. In Experience- we are being Sanctified by the Holy Ghost- John 17:17 "Through Thy Word"
3. in Consummation- Our complete Sanctification awaits rapture/resurrection- I John 3:2 -

B.- GOD GIVES US A PART OF HIS DIVINE NATURE, AND A PART IN HIS DIVINE PLAN, SET APART FOR SERVICE

1. We are Saints- from the moment of Salvation- We are called the Sons of God, He touches heart
2. We are called "holy" -and God reaches out to use us for His Holiness, as His hands, feet,-
3. God has a Holy purpose for you - YOUR PHYSICAL BODY has become the Temple of the Living God

C.- MALACHI ASKED "WILL A MAN ROB GOD?", BUT WE SEE A FAR MORE SERIOUS ROBEERY THAN OF MONEY

1. It is one thing to steal money- but it is another thing to be "Body Snatchers" kidnap people
2. God has Sanctified you for His Special purpose- to serve Satan is to cheat God of your body
3. Paul prayed I Thess 5:23 that we be "Sanctified wholly"- Every part set aside for God's use

God has made us Saints but it is up to us if we want to be Saintly! How about you?

II.- "PRESERVED" -GOD'S GUARDIANSHIP OF THE SOUL!

Jude might be angry about the Apostates,- but he begins and ends his book with eternal security

A.- THE PRESERVATION SPOKEN OF HERE IS REGARDING THE SOUL, AND ITS BEING THE PROPERTY OF GOD

1. Paul prayed for the preservation of Body, Soul, & Spirit- I Thess 5:23- "preserved blameless"
2. Salvation settles forever the Spiritual, The resurrection will finish the physical -be patient
3. But the Soul that is cleansed at Salvation, is so quickly stained -Satan battles to cripple

B.- THE POSSESSIONS THAT ARE PRESERVED ARE NOT PHYSICAL, BUT RATHER THE GIFTS OF GOD!

1. We try to hold on to our material wealth- But God's greatest gifts are -grace, peace, mercy
2. Jude prays God's help that we might have these gifts multiplied does your Stock here go up?
3. These gifts give a prosperity that is eternal,- let not Satan trick you of your wealth

C.- THE POSITION THAT IS PRESERVED IS THAT WHICH GOD HAS MADE US. GOD HAS GIVEN US A GREAT POSITION

1. We have been given the great position in Grace- of being Sons of God-  Inheritors of all glory
2. But our practice and our walk is often that of prodigal, not that of a prince - What of you?
3. Will you help God to train and discipline you to walk as Sons- v. 24 Jude prays for this

If you have stumbled and stained your princely robes- get up and seek God for more grace!

III.- "CALLED" - GOD'S LEADERSHIP OF THE SOUL!

We need to listen to God's voice with its individual call for each one of us! Salvation- & Service

A.- THERE IS A CALL OF GOD THAT LEADS TO SALVATION, THIS IS BUT THE FIRST CALL FOR EACH PERSON

1. John told us plainly "No one can come except the Father draw him- (call him)" John 6:44
2. God's divine calling is certain- Rom 8:30- Called Justified- & Glorified!
3. Will you accept His Call to you- to Accept Christ as Savior & put yourself in God's plan?

B.- BUT THE CALLING JUDE MENTIONS ALSO INCLUDES A CALL TO SERVICE, ACTIVITY, AND MAYBE SUFFERING

1. We are called according to His purpose- Rom 8:28, So God has a purpose for you to fulfil
2. Matt 20:16 tells us many are called- but few chosen- Few work, fewer work with right attitude
3. Paul valued his calling greatly and pressed forward to achieve it- Phil 3:14 - a high calling

C.- JUDE PRAYS A TRIPLE STREAM OF BLESSINGS AND GOODNESS TO HELP US FULFILL GOD'S CALLING - v.2

1. God's mercy to maintain our purity it is His Mercy that keeps Christians pure- trust Him
2. God's peace to maintain our preservation- strife, conflict, confusion- is enemy of soul
3. God's love to inspire our life motivation, stimulus, that we might obey His calling!

God has something very special for each of us if we walk worth of His calling- Eph 4:1

IT'S IN CHRIST YOU ARE SANCTIFIED, PRESERVED, AND CALLED, FOR GOD HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YOU!

1. Unless you are Born Again- Saved- you have no property rights to these - so be saved!
2. If you are saved- then place your walk in the calling that God has for you!-
3. God has some great plans for you- why not start out today seeking to fulfil these?
