THE SWEETNESS AND GENTLENESS OF CHRIST'S BROTHER DEMANDS THAT HE WARN SAINTS AGAINST DEADLY POISON

1. No place in Scripture are the Libertines and Apostates more severely reprimanded and described
2. The "Hell on Earth" they cause for others will come back upon themselves like the whirlwind!
3. Our age is characterized by their infiltration of the Church, and the heartache they have caused

Listen carefully to Jude as he warns us, and study well what he says to do about it!

I.- HISTORY REVEALS TERRIBLE JUDGEMENTS!

The terrible curse for those who will not remember history is to follow the footsteps of the curse

A.- THE BIBLE SAYS THAT CERTAIN MEN - WHO WERE BEFORE OF OLD - ORDAINED TO THIS CONDEMNATION -

1. History is His-story-telling of God's great love and mercy to all mankind - salvation & grace
2. But History also tells of super-human evil imaginations inventing new ways to spoil Paradise

B.- BIBLE HISTORY FURNISHES TERRIBLE ILLUSTRATIONS OF GOD'S GREAT JUDGEMENT FALLING ON EVIL MAN 5-7

1. The Lord saved Israel- but Exo. 32 shows them dancing naked before the Golden Calf-many died
2. The Lord created Angels- but Gen 6:4 shows them leaving God's plan to corrupt man -Jude 6
3. Great city-states of Sodom & Gomorrah - Gen 18,19 wealth, affluence, terrible sin, so terrible destruction

C.- PROPHECY TELLS US THAT IN THE LAST DAYS WICKEDNESS WILL INVADE EVEN THE CHURCH, TRIBULATION!

1. Paul in Tim II, 3:1-4 warns of men who love pleasure more than God & 7 their great learning.
2. Rev. 2:20-23 tells of a Jezebel within the church,-& seduction; resulting in death of children

If we are in the "last days" we can expect a terrible invasion of the church by these reprobates

II. GOD'S WORD WARNS OF "FILTHY DREAMERS" Jude 8a

This is Inspired Scripture- like it or not we must be aware of it, and plan a defense -flee to God!

A. - JUDE IS PLAIN IN HIS DENUNCIATION OF THE WICKEDNESS OF CERTAIN APOSTATES, THEIR SINS LABELED - 8

1. "Filthy Dreamers"- Before deed is done- imagination must be stimulated- Filthy books-Pornography
2. "Defile the Flesh"- God gave bodies as Temples -but they defile them-terrible sexual sins!
3. Speak evil of dignitaries-Leaders, deserve respect but these bad-mouth civil authority 

B.- PETER ALSO DESCRIBES THESE APOSTATES, WHO LEFT GOD TO FOLLOW PERNICIOUS WAYS II Pet 2:2-21 

1. v.2 Pernicious- means unbridled lust-immorality -brought into church -Cal. UCC-Ordained Homosexuals
2. v.3 Feigned words- & v.18 swelling words- They talk your arm off- Kids, beware: Say "NO"! & flee!  The judgement described is for sexual sins-& today's rationalization-
3. V.10-14 horrible perversion- "eyes full of adultery"v.14 -read paper-worse than rape-

C.- JUDE'S DESCRIPTION WOULD SEEM TO BE DESCRIPTIVE OF OUR WORLD, BUT WHAT OF OUR DAY'S CHURCH?

1. v.16- Murmurers, complainers our world-church-full of fault-finding; ignoring, great sins
2. v. 18- Walk after their own ungodly lusts- will you follow YOUR way, or God's way?
3. Rev. 18:23 deceiving nations by Sorceries-Drugs! & rationalization to use drugs - in Phx.-

After Morality is destroyed, Minds are blown, families wrecked -Communists take over-Hell

III.- WHAT  IS THE CURE FOR OUR AGE? Jude 20-25

Tonight I will be emphasizing these last few verses- positive message, Build your faith-

A.- BUT BEFORE WE WILL BUILD THE WALLS OF OUR CITY FOR DEFENSE, WE MUST BE WARNED & BELIEVE IT

1. We can see the temporary judgement -wages of sin- Note crime rate, mental sickness-County Hospital
2. We can sense the terrible judgement that is impending- Nuclear War, Communist Takeover 1/3 population killed
3. But can you visualize eternal hell- made for Devil- but integrated with People-demanding access?

B.- PETER SPOKE TO ISRAEL 40 YEARS BEFORE DESTRUCTION, CRIED "SAVE YOURSELVES.." Acts 2:40 b

1. Whatever your present situation- repent, turn about, get right with God! Get Saved!
2. Refuse to be swept along with the flood of sin- Dig deeply into the Word - Walk with God!
3. Even if you have been scorched- get pulled out of the fire! v.23-get saved & live like it

C.- AMERICA'S PROBLEM IS SPIRITUAL, AND WILL NOT BE SOLVED WITHOUT A SPIRITUAL REVIVAL!

1. It would seem that the devil is operating in our country-supernatural power-everything wrong!
2. Though we have much to rejoice in- yet we seem powerless to cope with confusing age
3. Pray that God will find you faithful in seeking Him, His grace, His power to overcome Satan!

For only the power of God can- v.24 -"Keep you from falling-present...faultless"

CONCLUSION OF OUR AGE, WILL FIND MOST PEOPLE HELL BENT AND DETERMINED TO TAKE YOU WITH THEM!

1. But you can stop Satan's plan- Just get saved! Accept Jesus Christ- Plead God's mercy
2. You can pull others out of the fire- get busy for the Lord- witness of His salvation
3. You can build up yourself get in Sunday School,- help every part of church- Push back Satanic forces
