NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY HAS THERE BEEN A PEOPLE SO PUNISHED, REVIVED AND PUNISHED AGAIN AS JEWS!

1. Never before has my mind staggered at the magnitude of the fulfilment of a single verse-

I.- WHO CRUCIFIED THE CHRIST?

Though all mankind might seek freedom from the terrible blame- Every lost soul bears the guilt

A.- THE ROMANS WERE THE LEGAL AUTHORITY, THE JEWS THE INSTIGATORS, BUT THE WHOLE WORLD GUILTY

1. I have no illusions about the water cleaning Pilate's hands- v.24 -The World System failed
2. The Roman hands that drove in the spikes were following orders- but guilty -with their hands
3. But for God's grace we would be crucifying each other today- hatred of world system in us

B.- BUT THE JEWISH CROWD WAS COACHED TO CRY, AND DID SO BY FORMULA "HIS BLOOD BE ON US & OUR CHILDREN"

1. This was the formula of the pronouncement of the Jury in OT days- seriousness of decision
2. They had won their case, this was superfluous but they added this to their harangue -insult
3. It would seem that God- or circumstance- has taken them at their word, and so plotted history

C.- THIS GENERATION OF JEWS SAW THE HAND OF VIOLENCE UPON THEM BEYOND IMAGINATION!

1. 30 years later the Roman Governor snared 3,600 of their leaders- scourged & crucified 
2. As Roman vengeance fell- some 500 a day were crucified -near 70 AD.- Slaves sold
3. Every tree within a day's march of Jerusalem was made into a crucifixion post-

The blood of this generation ran in the streets of the city- & in 135 AD Hadrian sowed with salt

II.- WHO CARRIED THE BLAME OF DEATH ? -

A.- THE ACCOUNT OF ISRAEL'S HISTORY FOLLOWS THREE MAJOR DIVISIONS- "Fall and Rise of Israel" -Hull

1. The 1st 400 years after Christ- They tried to center their culture in Israel- Rome-Talmud
2. They finally were driven to Babylon- Old ties- & for 500years - Talmud more-- Mohammedans came
3. Then they swung across Europe- sometimes welcomed, then fleeced, then destroyed- 1,000 yrs

B.- NATIONS SHOW EVERY CRUELTY TO THE JEWS THAT COULD BE IMAGINED! -

1. In Spain- 7th Century Christians drove them out, 8th Cent Moslems more tolerant- Jews flocked in
2. 9,10,11 Century- were the golden age of Spain- Jews more or less tolerated
3. 12th Century- started Crusades- all changed- Jews were blamed by both sides- Will of God-Kill Jews - wear yellow tags
4. 13th Century- Roman Catholics persecuted Jews and Waldensians- Massacres- Inquisition, torture
5. 14th Century- plagues that swept Europe were blamed on Jews-, Germans put them in Ghettos-
6. Though they helped bring Renaissance and Reformation- they have been Ill treated
7. The last greatly publicized persecution was in the Gas chambers of Germany-
8. England and America have treated Jews better than any nations in History- But may blame them too
9; The World today is being blackmailed with Oil to stand against Israel!-

My personal opinion is that we should stay out of it- but if you are For Israel- she will sack your treasury- and if you are against her- your civilization will flourish and collapse! -

III.- THE FUTURE LOOKS NO BETTER !

With the Armies about to break out in war-- It is about 5 AM in Israel- a new day for war!

A.- THERE WILL BE NO PEACE IN ISRAEL UNTIL THE PRINCE OF PEACE COMES BACK TO FORM MILLENNIUM!

1. The Bible is full of verses warning about men who cry peace when there is no peace!
2. While one is yelling peace and safety, another is arming for war! -Atrocities being found
3. I am afraid that there is no way for any people to escape- but Israel will carry blunt -

B.- PROPHECIES FROM ANCIENT DAYS CARRY A WARNING OF TERRIBLE TIMES YET TO COME FOR ISRAEL

1. Zech 13:8,9 -Tell of a time when 2/3rds of Israel's population will die in invasion
2. Zech 14:2 tell of Jerusalem being captured, and 1/2 of the people being led away captive
3. Matt 24:15-22 is yet to be fulfilled- and it is a terrible time to read of

C.- IS GOD TO BLAME FOR THESE TERRIBLE THINGS TO COME TO PASS?  TRICKY THEOLOGY, BUT MEN WORK HARD TO EARN THE WAGES OF SIN

1. It is perverted philosophy to make Satan good and God evil- when we bring it on ourselves.
2. The Wrath of God is pictured in Revelation- but now we are in Age of Grace- & the Love of God
3. The problem in this world is because men refuse to obey God's Natural & Spiritual laws-

His advice to us is- Acts 2:40b "Save yourselves from this untoward generation"-

WHETHER YOU BE JEW OR GENTILE, THE SAME LORD IS RICH UNTO ALL THAT CALL UPON HIS NAME!

The wickedness of this world is not going to get any better... you had better seek Christ.-
