INTRODUCTION - THE WORLD IS CLIFF-HANGING TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING, ALL EXCEPT REGARDING JESUS

• We have great sermons, conferences, pressure tactics -to get people to witness of Jesus
• We can't stop people from gossiping every dog fight, new idea, strange happening-why?
• Perhaps a study of the witnessing during the Tribulation period will show us something

I. THERE ARE EVIDENCES OF GREAT WITNESSING

If you wish a good Greek word study- dig up contend, contending, and contentious

A.  REV 7:9,14 SHOW US THE EVIDENCES OF A MASSIVE EVANGELISM PROGRAM, WINNING MILLIONS TO CHRIST

1. This passage tells us of the 144,000 Jews and a great multitude from every tribe, tongue
2. V. 14 makes it plain that these are saved during the Great Tribulation- without Church
3. They are saved the same way we are- by the blood of Jesus Christ- no other way!

B.  REV 12:10,11 SHOWS THE GREAT STRENGTH AND THE GREAT COST OF EVANGELISM IN TRIBULATION PERIOD

1. Even during the times of the Anti-Christ- devil at work in person- they overcome him-Wow!
2. The way they do it is Blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony- same as we can
3. The startling difference- they loved not their lives- inference of martyrdom of many

C.  THE COST OF GIVING ONE'S LIFE FOR CHRIST IS NOT UNUSUAL IN THIS WORLD IN THE LIGHT OF HISTORY

1. I think I saw one lake in Switzerland where 800,000 Baptists drowned for their faith
2. People give lives for moment's pleasure-dope, thrill, so why not for greater joy of Jesus
3. Why hang onto what you can't keep when you have a chance to expend it for what you can't lose

II.  THE SPECIAL ACCOUNT OF TWO WITNESSES

By Moses' law two witnesses are needed to authenticate a case - not institutions- but men

A.  THE TWO WITNSSES HAVE BEEN PROPHESIED IN MORE THAN ONE PLACE IN THE BIBLE - WHO ARE THEY?

1. Zech 4:11-14 the 2 olive trees- (4) were seen by Zech in heaven around 500 BC - who?
2. John saw them in heaven 96 AD- and they are to come to the earth and die here-
3. Only Enoch & Elijah have not died- & can return for their turn- Cf. Mal 4:4-5 forerunner

B.  THESE TWO WITNESSES HAVE MIRACULOUS POWERS AND THEY USE THESE POWERS FOR GOD - Rev 11:3-7a

1. They have a power-, and that power is able to KILL v.5, The disciples thought but couldn't
2. They shut Heaven's rain, & turned water to blood, caused plagues, - tough customers!
3. Nothing could touch them until their job was done- & they affected the whole earth!

C.  THEIR WITNESS IN THEIR DEATH CLIMAXED WITH A RESURRECTION AND RAPTURE IN SIGHT OF ALL - v8-12

1. The Beast himself (like Herod with John the Baptist) killed them- in eyes of the world-failure!
2. The world will see them dead-8-10 TV? & have victory celebrations now they can do their thing
3. God calls them up-12, all the world sees this too- & the people caused to fear-

 Would you volunteer for this great task- many would even though it was certain death-

III. WHAT ABOUT WITNESSES TODAY???????

It is not what you would do with a million if that be your lot- but what with the $2 you have?

A.  GOD HAS COMMANDED US ALL TO BE WITNESSES FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TODAY - CAN'T AVOID IT

1. Underline and mark these passages- Great Commission- Matt 28:18-20- and it means you!
2. The Apostolic Commission commanded them to delay a little- not you- Acts 1:8
3. The person who knows the Gospel- about Jesus & His love- debtor- Rom 1:14, of 16 too

B.  EACH PERSON IS TO USE HIS OWN PERSONALITY WITH THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - BE YOURSELF

1. Jesus knew organizational evangelism,- different personalities- John 4:35-39, 41
2. Paul knew the different talents of each person- & need for each- I Cor 3:5-10
3. God wants YOU and YOUR PERSONALITY -Rom 12:3- don't try to be a cheap copy of another!

C.  BUT WE MUST OBEY CHRIST IN THE LITTLE THINGS IF WE EXPECT POWER IN BIG THINGS!

1. God wants you to be a true witness- don't add to it, or take away- People aren't fools
2. Learn to gossip the gospel- be natural- tell what you have experienced, what you know! Sow!
3. Being a soulwinner is to reap, it is a step farther- demanding a little more- not hard!

Remember that it is God that gives the increase- IF YOU CAN'T WITNESS NOW, WHY NOT?

CONCLUSION - THE WORLD AROUND YOU IS STILL WAITING TO HEAR WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN YOUR LIFE - TELL IT!

1. If you have believed- start witnessing in church by a public confession of Christ-
2. If you believe a set of doctrines- the Word- join the church that stands that way!
3. The world has out talked us- & we have done more criticism of the world, flesh, devil- than we have told good about the Lord- so what do you advertise?
