MANY PEOPLE TODAY SEEK PEACE ON EARTH FIRST, INNER PEACE SECOND, AND PEACE WITH GOD LAST

1. We get things reversed, and thus miss the gift of God which alone can bring us peace- any way.
2. The Bible is plain and History proves it- No peace on earth till all mankind is changed-by God
3. Peace with God is a free gift to all who will accept it, And the Peace of God is available to all who will work for it God's ways.

No matter what the world- you can have peace of with God

I.- THE GIFT OF GRACE- Rom 5:15, 5:1 - PEACE WITH GOD

"Since we are justified as a result of faith" Montgomery's NT in Modern English

A.- "THEREFORE BEING JUSTIFIED BY FAITH" Rom 5:1 - "Having Been"-act past, not progressive, positive

1. This is a declaration, not a plea, but an assertion.  Past action, finished and complete
2. Abraham was made just and righteous before God because he believed God- Rom 4:3
3. After a lengthy argument Paul states his conclusion- Rom 3:28 Justified by faith

B.- "THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST" Rom 5:1c There is a definite channel through which to obtain Justification

1. Abraham believed God, and we need to Believe God- And God is plain in what He has to say!
2. The Saving Faith is faith in the ONLY way of Salvation- "Non other name" Acts 4:12
3. Jesus was delivered for our sins, and raised to prove our justification- Rom 4:25 - Proof

C.- "WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD" Rom 5:1b "Let us enjoy the peace with God"- 20th Century NT

1. Eph 2:2,3 tells how we were by nature (old) children of wrath, enemies of God, strangers- etc.
2. But now in Christ- 13- We are made nigh, 19 and made fellow citizens- Fellowship friendship-
3. We are no longer separated by sin, but now are accepted in the beloved Eph 1:6 peace with God

Now that we are no longer fighting God, we can begin to live- seek peace within our soul!

II.- ACCESS то GRACE Rom 5:2 PEACE OF GOD

Some gifts are carried to us, some we have to receive, some we have to go after, some carry

A.- "WE HAVE ACCESS INTO THIS GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND" Rom 5:2 - Difference of Standing and State

1. When we receive Christ we come into a Standing in Christ- that of saints- I Cor 1:2
2. This standing of perfection is in Grace, it is the result of the work of Christ, We just believe
3. This is fully entered into the very moment that we receive Christ as Savior- Salvation

B.- WE ALSO HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH INTO AN ACTUAL STATE, THE CHANGE OF HEART TO NOW LIVE FOR HIM

1. The Church at Corinth had an actual state- weak, ignorant, quarrelsome, sinful, selfish
2." The Just shall live by faith" Rom 1:17, We need to ask ourselves -are we living by faith?
3. We need to take stock, a good look within, Are you really living the Life God gives by Faith?

C.- THE OBEDIENT SOUL WHO LIVES THE LIFE OF FAITH WILL HAVE THE PEACE OF GOD WITHIN

1. Phil 4:5-9 gives some definite principles whereby we can have peace within our hearts-of God
2. 5-Moderation, 5-Expectation, 6-Supplication, 8-Meditation, 9- Imitation of Paul- & Christ
3. If you have no peace in your heart- then get busy on these things- & I John 3:21 Confidence

If you have no peace with God, you cannot have peace of God; no peace now- none hereafter!

III.- THE SECURITY OF GRACE Rom 5:9-10 PEACE CONTINUING

If I have no assurance of future peace, the expectation of trouble kills peace now.

A.- "WE SHALL BE SAVED FROM WRATH THROUGH HIM." Rom 5:9b

1. God has a wrath both here and hereafter, The fact of troubles now, & Hell hereafter -
2. Even the tender Lamb of God has a wrath so terrible to make men want the mountains to fall - Rev. 6:16
3. But there is no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus- Rom 8:1 I believe God, receive

B.- WE WERE RECONCILED WHEN ENEMIES, GOD WILL NOT THEN TURN AND REND US Rom 5:10

1. Some of the men on earth are so perverted that they would be kinder to enemies than friends
2. God offered peace and reconciliation to His enemies- those who accepted it were reconciled
3. Now that these few accepted His terms, and came to Jesus- they are joint heirs with Him

C.- MUCH MORE, BEING RECONCILED, WE SHALL BE SAVED BY HIS LIFE". Rom 5:10 b

1. The fact of the resurrection showed that God accepted His death in our place - paid our sins
2. Jesus now ever lives to make intercession for us- He is our High Priest, advocate,
3. You can call this Eternal Security, Assurance, but we have an Anchor within the Veil.

Nothing now can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus- Rom 8:38,9

WE CAN ENJOY PEACE WITH GOD BY FAITH IN JESUS, BUT PEACE OF GOD COMES THROUGH A WALK

1. If you will receive Jesus Christ as your Savior God will save you- no longer your enemy
2. But to keep the Conscience from bothering you, you will have to live for God-
3. Our fond hope then is for the hastening of the time when He will come and bring Peace on Earth
